This almond torte makes a successful post-game or, as in our case, post-swim meet treat. <\/p>\n<p>*9\u201d springform cake pan works best* <\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\nButter to grease the pan<br \/>\n6 eggs<br \/>\n1\/2 cup maple syrup<br \/>\n1\/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil<br \/>\n2 teaspoons almond extract<br \/>\nlemon zest from one large lemon<br \/>\n5 Cups almond flour<br \/>\nLarge handful (add more if needed) of raw sliced almonds <\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<br \/>\n1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees<br \/>\n2. Add all the ingredients except the flour to the mixing bowl and whisk together.<br \/>\n3. Add the almond flour and stir until there are no dry areas.<br \/>\n4. Pour into the cake pan and sprinkle the sliced almonds over the top. Use enough to cover the entire cake.<br \/>\n5. Bake 40-45 minutes. It\u2019s done when a toothpick or knife inserted comes out clean.<br \/>\nSet the pan on a wire rack and let it cool.
